Every rescue starts with somewhere safe to go.
Earlier this week, we welcomed two new foster homes to the Penny Paws family, each opening their doors to a rescue mum and her kittens. Because of those wonderful people, two little families now have the safety, warmth and love they deserve.
And today, we’ve been asked to help another.
This tiny young mum and her four kittens are living outside in someone’s garden. The kittens are only around 3–4 weeks old. Kind people have been feeding them, but foxes have been regularly circling the garden, and they’re desperately in need of somewhere safe.
She is just one of many cats I currently can’t say yes to.
Penny Paws is now over capacity. Every foster home is full. Our partner catteries are full. There really is no room left at the inn.
Every day I receive messages about cats and kittens needing help. Pregnant mums giving birth outdoors. Tiny kittens found alone. Friendly cats abandoned after house moves. Injured strays. Elderly cats whose owners can no longer care for them.
The only thing standing between these cats and safety is a foster home.
At Penny Paws, we provide everything the cats need:

🐾 Veterinary care
🐾 Equipment and supplies
🐾 Ongoing support throughout the placement
All we ask is that you provide a safe, loving temporary home.
You don’t need any previous fostering experience. I’ll support you every step of the way. Whether you can offer a spare bedroom for a few weeks or care for a rescue mum and her kittens until they’re ready for adoption, you’ll be giving vulnerable cats the chance they deserve.

Without foster homes, rescues like Penny Paws simply can’t keep saying “yes.”
Every new foster home means another cat can be rescued. Another litter can be born somewhere warm instead of outside. Another frightened stray can get the veterinary care they desperately need. One spare room really can save lives.
