Description

Ari is an energetic bundle of joy to have at home. She is 3 (we rescued her at 18 months and have had her for 18 months). Officially her paperwork says she’s a staffy but I would say she is crossed with a bigger bull breed (she doesn’t come close to XL territory). She has come a long way in the time we have had her (she was overweight, untrained, unsocialised and had already been bred when we got her). She is immaculately toilet trained, no food guarding issues, walks nicely on a lead and is eager to learn. We live rurally and she enjoys running through the fields (she has decent recall and is ok with horses). At home, we have 4 kids and she is a dream with them, very patient and gentle. So far, so good…. She is however very dog reactive. She is ok with some dogs (she lived very happily with an ancient chihuahua for the last 18 months until he died). It’s inconsistent in that it isn’t every dog you come across and it’s manageable with distraction techniques if you see the other dog coming and catch her attention in good time but it’s definitely quite a big consideration as when she goes, it’s not pretty. I have resisted a muzzle on her as we don’t come into too much contact with other dogs as we live so rurally but could be a good option along with ongoing training. She would be a really fine addition to anyone experienced with bull breeds, live with access to wide open spaces and has time to continue her training. She is a beautiful loving dog and a living example of how people can cause dogs ongoing issues by being cr*p in the early formative months! Ps. Can send loads more pics, my phone just seemingly doesn’t like the ad creation process much.
