Very cliche but obviously this breaks our heart to have to give him up but we know it’s best for him and we have nothing but his best interests at heart. Max has had a DNA test on his and he is half cocker spaniel, quarter German shepherd and quarter mixed terrier and has qualities of all these different breeds. Max turns 5 in September. He is microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, worming and flea treatment. He is fed on raw food. He has no known medical issues and he is neutered. Max is a lovely playful, cuddly dog. He loves a good play and a ball throw but also loves a cuddle on the sofa at night. He is effectively a big baby. You can’t forget his bedtime biscuit either!! Max loves a long walk but doesn’t have good walking manners - he does pull on the lead. He can also be reactive to other dogs while on a walk however if he is in a pack with other dogs, then he is fine. Max loves to look after the house too by barking at people outside the house! He can also be very giddy with new people coming to the house but will eventually settle down. Max knows all basic commands such as sit, lay, spin, wait, talk. He is such a clever boy and with the right owner and training, he really would thrive & be a fantastic loving pet for someone. He currently lives with myself, my husband, our 12 year old and our 7 month old baby. Max has been fantastic with our baby since day 1 however seems to get stressed when our 12 year old is around and ends up chewing his bones or toys and becomes on guard - we think this is due to protecting the baby. We feel like Max would thrive in a quiet environment with no children. Ideally with someone/a couple who are retired or who work from home as he loves the company of other people. He can walk for miles and miles so would equally love someone who loves a good hike. We are not in a rush to say goodbye to Max so we will only let him go to the right person.
