🐾 **Looking for a Loving Forever Home for Fergus – 1-Year-Old Sprollie** 🐾
It is with a very heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to find a new home for our beautiful boy, Fergus, who is a one-year-old Sprollie (Springer Spaniel x Border Collie).
Fergus is an amazing pup with so much love, personality and energy to give. He is a lovely boy who deserves the very best, and this decision has not been an easy one for us.
Unfortunately, due to my arthritis and my current difficulties with walking, I am no longer able to give Fergus the regular walks and exercise he needs. Sprollies are a high-energy breed, and Fergus needs an active home where someone can dedicate more time to him, take him on regular walks, provide mental stimulation and continue working on his training.
Over recent months, Fergus has also started showing some challenging behaviours, particularly growling and attempting to bite when being put into his crate. We have spoken with our vets about this, and they advised that his lack of exercise could be contributing to his built-up energy and frustration. However, we want to be completely honest about this behaviour so that anyone considering offering Fergus a home understands his needs and can help him appropriately.
We truly believe Fergus needs an environment where he can burn off his energy, receive consistent, positive training and have someone who understands the needs of an intelligent, energetic young dog.

🐾 Someone who has plenty of time to spend with him.
🐾 Regular walks, exercise and mental stimulation.
🐾 Continued training, patience and understanding.
🐾 Someone willing to work with him on his crate-related behaviour and help him develop good habits.
This is absolutely not a decision we are making because we don't love him. We love Fergus dearly, but we also recognise that his needs are greater than we can currently provide due to my health and mobility difficulties.
We want to find him a home where he can be happy, fulfilled and given the opportunity to become the best dog he can be. We would much rather make this heartbreaking decision for his long-term happiness than allow him to go without the exercise, attention and training he deserves.
