It is with great sadness that we are looking to rehome our incredible boy Bones. Due to unforeseen circumstances we can no longer provide the love and care he requires, and we want him to have the best possible life and future with the right person. Please note it is important he goes to the right home, for our peace of mind, his sake and due to his bite history. We will not give him to just anyone and will need to throughly check the person he does end up going with. Bones has a bite history with us and we will fully disclose this history in detail with those interested in rehoming him. Again, anyone enquiring must be prepared to take on a dog with a bite history who needs a lot of attention and ongoing training. We are preferably looking for someone who has dealt with similar dog behavioural issues in the past. Bones is a whippet cross, we suspect with beagle given his colouring and ears. He is 22 months old and currently has the 12 month chemical castration implant Suprelorin. He is full of love and relishes in human attention. He will spend all day alternating between playing with you and sleeping on the sofa next to you. He loves playing with dog toys, chews and loves a game of fetch inside or in a garden. He adores people, and is always excited to meet new people and make friends. He is quite reactive, and finds it hard to control his excitement when meeting someone new. He will jump and get overexcited at meeting a new person and whilst we have systems and training in place this needs ongoing training. He is also very reactive to cats, dogs and small animals (squirrels, etc). With dogs, 99% of the time he was to just say hello and play with any and every dog. He gets very frustrated when he is not allowed to and is on the lead. With cats and squirrels/foxes, he wants to chase them instantly and gets very worked up if he cannot. He will need someone who is strong (he is very strong despite his size) and can work with him on a walk, understanding his triggers and how to avoid and manage them. We will be able to provide his full veterinary records too. He is a beautiful boy, full of love and needs the right person to give him a long and joyful life.
