Description
Iris is a very cute and sweet doggie that we are looking to rehome via our charity. She is a medium sized dog, the size of a small to medium Border Collie. She has a beautiful soft coat with many colours, and is named after Iris, the Greek goddess of the rainbow. She is a gentle and quite shy dog, of quiet nature. She eats her food with appetite, takes treats gently and does not have any guarding tendencies. She is toilet trained and sleeps well at night. She does not know what the lead is for and therefore, lead walking is work in progress and will take time. We are looking for gentle and patient adopters, with plenty of time for her, to continue her positive reinforcement training. Our family has adopted her brother, who after a period of adjustment is by far the easiest dog we have ever had.
She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Please note that we prefer to rehome within 30-45mins from Manchester and that we favour adopters who are at home most of the time. You will be required to fill in a pre-adoption questionnaire, and an adoption fee applies. Experience with timid rescue dogs is desirable but not essential, as long as there is willingness to learn and be patient.
