While kittens often steal the spotlight, young cats like Zola have so much to offer. At just 2 years old, she’s still playful and full of life, but she’s also past the whirlwind kitten stage and already knows how to be a wonderful companion.
Zola was born on 16th June 2024 and is a beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell with striking amber eyes and an even more beautiful personality. She absolutely adores people and is happiest when she’s receiving cuddles, fuss and plenty of attention. If you’re looking for a cat who genuinely enjoys human company and wants to be part of your everyday life, Zola could be the perfect match.
As an indoor-only cat, Zola is used to the safety and comfort of home life and is looking for a family who can offer her the same secure environment for the rest of her life.

As part of our adoption process, a video tour of your home is essential. This can be sent via WhatsApp or email and should include:
* Inside your home
* Any outdoor space
* A view from your front door looking out, then to the left and right
This helps us ensure every cat is matched with a safe and suitable home.
Every adoption application is also reviewed by a second member of the Penny Paws network to ensure we’re making the best possible match for both our cats and our adopters.
Because Zola is an indoor-only cat, applicants will need to demonstrate the precautions they have in place to prevent accidental escapes. This may include secure windows, careful management of external doors and any other measures that will help keep Zola safely indoors.
Once your home has been approved, a £50 reservation deposit secures Zola. This is deducted from the adoption fee and is not an additional charge.

We’re a volunteer-run rescue dedicated to finding the right home—not just the first home—for every cat.
Every Penny Paws rescue cat receives:

* Microchip
* Flea treatment
* Worm treatment
* Neutering where appropriate
Our foster homes are based across London and Hampshire, with our HQ in Hook, Hampshire. Collection is usually from the foster home, although our volunteer drivers can sometimes help transport cats to Hook if that’s more convenient.
As rescue cats often have an unknown vaccination history, we don’t routinely vaccinate them. Instead, we recommend adopters begin a fresh vaccination course with their own vet.
