Looking to rehome our beautiful large Maine coon. She is almost 3. We rehomed her around 18 months ago and she was very nervous initially but after a few weeks she slowly settled in and started enjoying sitting on our laps for cuddles. We have another cat and she has never liked him and is very anxious when he’s around. I then had a baby and she started spraying around the house and marking her scent on all of the baby’s things. We hoped this would settle but it didn’t so I spoke with my vet who said the kindest thing we could do is
rehome her as her behaviours were signs of extreme anxiety they felt were down to our other cat and then the baby. My son is now 8 months old and unfortunately she still sprays and swipes at him. I also have two teenagers that she loves cuddles with. She would need to be the only pet and ideally with a family who are mostly at home. She is up to date with worming and has a nearly new seresto flea collar. I’m happy to discuss further with anyone who is interested. This is a heart breaking decision so please only contact if you are genuinely interested in providing a loving new home and understand that although she is an amazing cat she does currently have the behavioural issues mentioned although I do believe they would resolve in the right home as they only started after I had the baby.
