Description
Little Charlie was raised by a retired couple who unfortunately can longer look after him. He has spent the first 2 years of his life being spoilt rotten, sleeping on the bed and eating freshly cooked meat. The elderly gentleman has now gone into a care home and the lady is immobile. She recently was taken very ill and had a prolonged hospital stay. Initially, Charlie was taken to Birmingham Dogs Home. However they made the rushed decision to have him put to sleep within 2 weeks of him being at the shelter. I have agreed to foster Charlie temporarily pending finding him a forever home. The only reason I am not able to give Charlie a forever home is due to finances. I cannot afford another dog.
Charlie is a very loving, playful little dog. He loves a good walk although he does need to be kept on a lead as he has no recall. He is friendly towards female dogs but will bark at other males. Typical terrier type. He can be a little bit of a quirky bugger.
Charlie would need to be the only dog or could possibly live with a friendly female dog. Absolutely no to cats or other furry pets 😂
Charlie has never really been socialised with children, however would likely be fine with responsible older children with careful introduction as he is not keen on strangers putting their hands directly in his face.
Potential new owners will need to get to know Charlie a few times first before he goes to his new home. (Meet and greet, going for a walk, playing ball etc.) This is make the transition as easy for Charlie as possible.
He will be getting neutered before he goes to his forever home and thorough home checks will be done. Charlie will only be going to a 5* home. Fully vaccinated, microchipped flea and wormer treatment up to date.
