Description
Available at stud, our Belgian imported show line male, Bear, pedigree name: ‘Uknow Im Your Guardian of the Dutch Highlands’ Bear’s pedigree is available on the Pedigree Database website and on the Royal Kennel Club’s website. ***Please note, Bear is a pedigree White Swiss Shepherd Dog and is registered with The Royal Kennel Club (previously, ‘The Kennel Club’, now with their *Royal* Affix) and the I.S.A., however is available to health tested females of a similar size and type, including, but not limited to; German Shepherd Dogs, Belgian Shepherd Dogs etc. or for Wolfalike / Wolfdog / outcross breeding programmes, hence his inclusion under the category of ‘German Shepherd Dogs’. The White Swiss Shepherd Dog is genetically the same as the German Shepherd Dog (they were bred down from the White variant of the breed) but is now registered by the FCI/Royal Kennel Club as a different breed and tends to have a more mellow and laid back temperament as well as calling for a different structure within the breed standard. They are more akin to working line German Shepherd Dogs in shape and size, but not temperament! When Bear is crossed with another breed, such as a German Shepherd, puppies can either be registered on The Royal Kennel Club’s Activity Register or on the ISA’s Breed Register if the female is correctly health tested*** Very healthy young male, no major or minor health issues, no allergies, infections, digestive issues, dental issues etc. Titer tested and immune for DH & P. Fabulous temperament, loves everyone. Not a bad bone in his body. Used in our kennel as Uncle to our pups to teach them bite inhibition, confidence and good manners etc. No nervousness or aggression. Still quite excitable due to his age but switches to instant calm around pups, children and older people. Very food motivated. Bear is masking Aw / Aw so has the potential to throw Sable puppies when matched with the right female. Dual registered with both The Royal Kennel Club & The International Association for the Health & Preservation of Shepherd Dogs (ISA) Approx. 33kg Embark Tested & 100% Clear (Embark results posted under photos) MDR1: +/+ DM: N/N HUU: Clear Haemophilia: Clear Cerabellar Hypoplasia: Carrier (White Swiss Shepherd Variant) Pituitary Dwarfism: N/N BVA Hips: 5/6 BVA Elbows: 0/0 Both testes fully descended (vet checked and signed confirmation) Heart: Clear (vet checked and signed confirmation, no murmurs) BVA Eye Test inc. Gonioscopy: 100% Clear/Grade 0 (last eye test done on 24.09.23, gonioscopy grading expires September 2025 and will be re-tested then) Full dentition/perfect scissor bite No umbilical hernia or rear dew claws Genetic COI: 23% Pedigree COI: 0% Embark match-maker available to find out the predicted average genetic COI % of the planned litter, should your female also be tested with Embark. Copies of all health test results can be provided. Semen tested, consistently large samples with excellent motility and morphology. Chilled or frozen semen can be delivered anywhere in the UK (frozen semen can be delivered worldwide) at extra cost. Please contact to discuss further, thank you.
