Description
Troy is a 5 year old male Brittany (DOB 13/03/21) who was surrounded by a private owner. Troy’s owner sadly passed away and his children were unable to look after him so he’s come to the shelter.
Troy is described as one of the most affectionate and people-orientated dogs the ladies at the shelter have ever cared for. It’s not known if he was ever used for hunting and was kept for companionship in recent years, however he is still a Brittany so will still have a high prey drive.
Troy would fit into many homes and he loves the company of other dogs. He currently shares his kennel with a male setter and they get along well, even sharing food. Troy likes running around in the shelter, especially when he has friends, and he does come when called, although this would likely change on an exciting walk.
Ultimately, Troy’s favourite thing is to be by your side and we would love to find him a home where he can be cuddled up on the sofa with people who are around most of the day. As he is used to living in a home, being in a shelter will be very stressful for him so we’d love to find him somewhere to go as soon as possible.
