PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ADVERT‼️We are looking for a 5* home for our gorgeous 3 year old lurcher Travis. He is the most loving boy. He will jump up to give you a cuddle, happily lay all over you on the sofa. He is also full of energy and absolutely loves his toys although he will lay down after 10 minutes of exercise! It is a heartbreaking decision but we feel that this is the best option for Travis. We rehomed him from dogs trust back in august, he came to them as a stray (possibly used for hare coarsing) with absolutely no training and no history. Whilst he is the most lovely dog he also comes with his issues which is important to note, there have been multiple occasions where he has unfortunately snapped at us with no warning whilst he is laid there, even for things as simple as itching your foot. I do not believe this to be aggressive it is more like a trigger reaction possibly from something in his past but we simply do not have the knowledge or the time to put into training with him for this. He also needs all basic training such as commands, lead training and ongoing toilet training. Travis also resource guards his food due to being starved as a stray so this would also need the correct care and attention. Due to the reasons mentioned above he is absolutely not a family dog, he would suit someone who is experienced with dogs and can truly give him the time, love and care that he needs to thrive. I will be asking for a small fee for him and this is only so he doesn’t fall into the wrong hands, i desperately do not want him to go back to kennels and I will only let him go to someone who I feel will be a right match for him. He will come with all of his beds/ toys/ harness/ leads and he would also suit a home with another dog (he currently lives with a Jack Russel with us). Serious enquiries only who have read the whole advert and think that they can truly give Travis the best chance as this is an extremely hard and heartbreaking decision and is truly with Travis’ best interest at heart. Please note again that we will not be in a rush for him to go and for that reason he will not be going to just any home.
