This is Mabel 14 MONTHS OLD I can’t change the date of birth unfortunately on the advert. She’s a Shih-apso. Mabel came into my care four months ago at the age of 10 months old. I have a male dog who was suffering from separation anxiety after losing both my Shih-tzus who were 14 1/2 & 13 years old. Mabel hasn’t had the best start in life unfortunately and I’m her 3rd home when she came to me at 10 months. Mabel is an absolute treasure, she’s full of love and requires lots of attention. Shes a real lapdog. She’s got a tiny hernia which isn’t uncommon and she’s currently in season (Been in season for a week) so the plan was to remove the hernia when I were to get her spayed. She apparently had cherry eye at one point but I have her vet paperwork and it was fully removed successfully costing about £700 She’s healthy otherwise. She is microchipped but I haven’t gotten round to changing the address. I absolutely love her and this has been a really difficult decision to make but she’s quite demanding. She follows me everywhere but I’m on the list for a total knee replacement and I fell over her last week 😭 I’ve toyed with the situation because of how much I love her but I also have to consider my own safety. She’s like she is (Needy/Clingy) probably because she’s been passed around 😭💔 she just wants to be safe and have stability and I feel guilt ridden because I thought I could give her a forever home 😭 She has the odd accident in the house which again is probably because she’s not had consistent training and routine. She can be a little timid of other dogs at first but once she feels safe she quickly makes friends and she’s very playful. I feed her an Hypoallergenic diet because my male Stanley is a bit sensitive to meats but she will eat anything. She walks well on the lead and knows basic commands. She’s a people’s dog, she’s forever wagging her tail in excitement. All I want for her is a forever home, someone who can walk her (because I’m struggling with my knee to walk them) I want a loving, safe home with someone who can give her the attention and most importantly stability 😭 If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
