This is Maggie, a nearly 10 year old show cocker looking for a very special home. Maggie is a gorgeous dog, friendly, loving, good with other dogs, cats and children.
While she is absolutely lovely, she struggles with separation anxiety. We have two young children who she adores, but this means we have to be out of the house quite a lot and unfortunately Maggie doesn’t cope well with this. While she is amazing with children, she would be very well suited to a WFH child free couple, or a retired couple that will be at home with her a lot of the time.
She loves to walk and is happy to go for thirty minutes or even longer. She isn’t overly keen on baths, but she’s very well behaved when getting groomed and at the moment that’s every 3 months or so.
She, like most spaniels, gets itchy ears. To prevent infections and ease any itching we just use a boric acid ear cleaner once per week. We have multiple bottles of this we can send with her. Also like most spaniels, she sometimes gets sticky eyes, when this happens we use a warm cloth with cool boiled water and over the counter dry eye drops.
Anyone is welcome to come meet her and see for themselves how lovely she is, but please don’t think that just because she is old and calm that she is low maintenance. She struggles with attachment and I think if she could be carried around in a baby carrier that would be her dream!
She is toilet trained, spayed, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment. She is also kennel club registered which I can provide details for.
