With a very heavy heart, we are looking for the right home for our lovely boy, Leon. Leon is a 2 year old golden-blonde Pomeranian with a big personality. He is house trained and knows several commands including sit, stay, spin and shake hands. He loves having a routine and does best when he knows what to expect. He is good on walks and isn’t particularly interested in strangers, but he absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He sleeps well all night without issue. Leon is a very affectionate dog who bonds strongly with his people. He can be anxious, particularly when left alone, and this is the main reason we feel he would be happier in a home where someone is around for most of the day. He needs a calm, stable environment and someone who can give him time and patience while he settles. He would suit someone who has plenty of time to spend with him. For example, someone who is retired, works from home, works flexible hours or otherwise doesn't need to leave him alone for long periods. He would ideally have someone who could provide a consistent routine and plenty of companionship. Although he has always been good with people and children, we feel an adult only home would be best for Leon, as a quieter household would suit his temperament. Leon is not neutered. This is an extremely difficult decision for our family, so finding the right home is much more important to us than finding a home quickly. We are looking for someone who understands Pomeranians and can give Leon the companionship, routine and stability he needs.
