Description
We have considered this decision for a while now as we do not want to let him go, we have already listed him twice and then removed the ad as we have constantly looked for any other possibility for him to stay with us, we will not allow him to just go to anyone.
We have had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome our beautiful boy, due to my wife being very unwell we can no longer give him the time and attention he needs, there are also issues with our older pug and her mobility and he’s knocking her over a lot as he doesn’t realise how big he is compared to her and after lengthy discussions with our family and our vet it was agreed it’s kinder to rehome him. He is a beautiful, loving boy very friendly but he does need an experienced bulldog home. He likes nothing more than sitting with his family cuddled up on the sofa or the floor, but he does not like the front door and does bark ferociously, (a safety gate sorts this issue) this is something we’ve never been able to change his behaviour on, he will also bark (with excitement) when you put his harness on he is fully housetrained, he is used to someone always being home as we are a large family and there’s always someone in so full time workers or people who will leave him for long periods need not apply. He does have cherry eyes, these have already been operated on and they popped back out the day after surgery so we refused to have him put under anaesthetic again and the vet said they are fine. He responds better to women, and trusts them, he follows my wife everywhere and sleeps on her side of the bed at night (on the floor not on the bed) he is her shadow, he has always seemed wary of men and has been the same since we picked him up at 16 weeks old despite nothing bad ever happening while he’s been with us he has always been the same. That said we have a family with grown up sons and he’s fine them. We would rather he did not go to a home with small children as he can be quite excitable and can knock them over, we have grandchildren so have experienced this first hand and all our children are older. We will decide who’s best for him to go to as we want the transition to be as smooth as possible as we are all he’s ever known so don’t be offended when we ask lots of questions, nobody that works long hours & nobody that’s planning on starting a family in the near future as I don’t want him rehomed again. He’s a typical bull dog, he is like a baby, he will judge you everyday, side eye you and supervise closely anything you attempt to do, he will sleep by your side, sit by your feet and follow you everywhere, he loves a walk but only a short one as he’s not that big on fitness, he prefers a quiet life snoozing & being with his people.
He is kc registered and has not been neutered.
No photo/video collectors this is a hard enough decision to start with but if you’d like any
