Description
With a very heavy heart, I have chosen to try attempt to rehome my beautiful boy Louie.
For some context, I have raised Louie since a puppy and early on he was unfortunately diagnosed with hip dysplasia which in recent months has impacted his mobility. He can tolerate short walks providing it’s dry, but certainly no longer every day.
What has run alongside this is a significant change in circumstances where I’ve experienced a relationship breakdown and I’m struggling to provide him with the adequate company that he’s been accustomed to since he was a pup and when his mum lived her with us.
As you will see, he’s a big boy, but the softest and most gentle temperament (albeit if you’re a vet or a postman, a little loud).
He is great with children’s, other pets - both cats and dogs have been around him since he was young and he will adapt quickly.
I feel strongly that although his mobility is reduced; he deserves a life where he is with people for large parts of the day, and has some space to potter around when he feels up to it.
I will want to discuss further to anyone who is interested in taking him on.
Sadly, he hasn’t been very good in taking pain medication for his condition, and to be completely transparent, the vets cannot be sure how long his legs will hold out for, but he is absolutely fine providing he isn’t pushed too hard.
