Description
It’s with a very heavy heart that we are looking for a loving new home for our gorgeous German Shepherd puppy, Goose. Goose is truly a wonderful boy with so much potential. This decision hasn’t been easy for us, but unfortunately our son is autistic and extremely frightened of large dogs, so we feel it’s only fair to find Goose a home where he can thrive and get the attention he deserves.
Goose is a happy, affectionate and very clever pup who loves being around people and being involved in whatever you’re doing. Like any young German Shepherd, he is full of personality and curiosity and will make an amazing companion for the right person or family.
He is still in training, as expected at his age, and is not fully potty trained yet but making great progress. He walks very well on lead and enjoys being off lead, though we are still working on his recall when he spots other dogs. When he does see them, he may bark — but it’s very much a “I want to play!” excitement rather than aggression.
Goose currently eats a raw diet, which he does very well on, but he would also be happy transitioning to a good quality kibble if preferred.
Because I work full time in a veterinary clinic, I simply don’t have the amount of time a young German Shepherd needs for training, enrichment and exercise. Goose would do best in a home where someone has plenty of time, patience and love to give, and ideally some experience with the breed or large working dogs.
