Description
Meet Otis, a 7 month old tweenie dachshund.
Otis is on the look out for a new home to his owners deteriorating health.
Otis can initially be nervous meeting new people but with a calm and confident approach you are soon good friends!
He does need some confidence building outside the home but once encouraged loves to run and play ball with other dogs.
He must be rehomed with at least one other dog.
Unknown to cats.
Children must be older as he gets very over excited and still learning not to use his teeth!
He will need on going house training.

Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained
Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
