Description
Beautiful Bean, a chestnut Thoroughbred gelding standing at approximately 16hh.
Bean was originally bought for my daughter with the intention of team chasing. Unfortunately, with commitments to our other horses and various events, Bean has somewhat fallen through the cracks and has become more of a schooling project and happy hacker for myself.
He really is a beautiful boy with a heart of gold. He has been a fantastic horse for our family, and my son absolutely adores him. This certainly isn’t an easy decision, but I feel it’s time for Bean to find a home where he can receive the time, attention and consistency he deserves and where someone can help him reach his full potential.
Bean was previously a flat racer, so his education outside of racing has been an ongoing journey. He has been introduced to jumping and is learning, but his education is still very much a work in progress. He has recently gone completely back to basics under saddle, giving him the opportunity to rebuild his foundations and confidence.
He can be sharp and is not a horse for the inexperienced or faint-hearted. He needs a confident, capable rider who understands Thoroughbreds and can provide clear, consistent guidance.
Homes will be carefully considered. No novices.
We would love to find Bean a knowledgeable, committed home where he can become someone’s next best friend and enjoy a new chapter doing the job he was always intended for.
This is a genuine sale, and finding the right home is far more important than finding the quickest sale.
Bean is good to shoe, clip and load, and is sensible in traffic. He is happy to hack and is good to handle on the ground.
He has plenty of potential for someone willing to put the time into continuing his education and bringing him on. He would suit a confident, experienced rider looking for a project with a lovely temperament and a rewarding future ahead.
