Description
I’m a member of the national chinchilla society, regularly attending shows and my breeding chinchillas are from pedigree show lines.
My chins do come with a care sheet to set you on the right track but please do some research to decide if chinchillas are the right pet for you. Particularly taking into consideration their potential lifespan and often independent personality.
I currently have 5 chinchillas available
Two violet wrap sisters (first picture)
DOB 13th April 2026
£140 each
Currently living together so can go together.
One is slightly darker than the other so they can be told apart.
Violet wrap male (third picture)
DOB 13th April 2026
£140
Grey male (fourth picture)
DOB 23rd February 2026
£120
This grey and the violet wrap are currently living together so can leave together.
Grey male (second picture)
DOB 26th April 2025
£100
All are friendly.
If your house was hot during the recent heatwave please be aware for the need of air conditioning, usually in the form a portable unit, so please budget for this when considering if chinchillas are the right pet for you.
They cannot be kept in the high 20s for extended periods. Cooling stones, ice packs etc are a short term emergency measure only.
The air temperature needs to be controlled for their long term health.
Please send a picture of your cage.
I may suggest changes (such as removing any plastic) but know this is no criticism to you, there is a lot of incorrect info out there.
My own preference of cage is mesh type specifically designed for chins (Thickets, Paul Spooner and the now retired John Hopewell types).
