Meet Luca 💙 Sex: Male Approx. D.O.B: 02/01/2021 Size: Medium Available for: Foster or Adoption by donation Location: Cheshire Kennels 💙 Luca is a gentle, loyal boy who has sadly found himself back in rescue after his adopters passed away. He initially came into the rescue as a tiny pup from the Breasta kill shelter in Romania before being adopted in the UK. Luca can be very shy and fearful when meeting people for the first time. He tends to retreat rather than approach, and loud noises or sudden movements can easily alarm him. He gets better the more familiar he becomes with you. Once Luca trusts you, you see a completely different side of him. He enjoys fuss, will cuddle up beside you on the sofa and can be playful and silly, with his carers describing his paddock zoomies as being like an oversized puppy. (check out the video in the comments) 🥹 Luca is calm in the home, non-destructive, toilet trained and settles well overnight. He enjoys his walks and generally walks nicely, although he is a strong boy if he decides to pull. He has lived in flats before and is comfortable with stairs. Luca will need a quiet, patient home where he can settle at his own pace. We feel an adult-only home would be best, although an older, dog-savvy child may be considered. He has not lived with dogs but has met female dogs on walks and has been good with them, so he could potentially live with a calm female dog following sensible introductions. Luca cannot live with cats as he will chase them. He loves fluffy beds and blankets and would really benefit from someone who understands that trust takes time. Once he feels safe with you, Luca is a devoted and affectionate boy who simply wants to feel secure again. 💙 🐕 Can live with dogs? Potentially a calm female dog, with sensible introductions. 🐈 Can live with cats? No. 👧 Can live with children? Adult-only preferred; an older, dog-savvy child may be considered. 🐕‍🦺 Lead: Yes, he accepts a harness and enjoys walks. Spayed/neutered: ❌ Vaccinated: ✅️ Chipped: ✅ ⭐ Homecheck and adoption fees apply. ⭐ Lifetime rescue back up provided. Please consider Luca 🙏 Apply here: http://pawprints2freedom.co.uk/apply ID code: Luca - OSH SC 116A
