💙🐾 Meet Erol 💙🐾 Approx. 6 years old Medium Male Available for Foster or Foster with the View to Adopt Location: Surrey This handsome chap is Erol, a 6 year old medium sized boy who blossoms into a loving, affectionate and devoted boy once he knows and trusts you...... but this takes time and experience! When Erol is kept within his comfort zone he can cope with what is expected of him and is a relaxed and happy boy 💙 Erol loves toys, especially road kill style toys, lick mats and enjoys peaceful, sniffy walks somewhere quiet where he can relax and take his time. At home Erol enjoys keeping his clever mind busy with lots of enrichment and games. Treats are definitely the way to his heart, especially chicken, cheese and peanut butter! He is a very clever boy and can play dead, sit, leave, watch, roll over and lay down. However, Erol does have some things he finds very difficult, including being around men at times, so he is looking for a very experienced female-only home who will understand, respect and uphold his boundaries. He needs a calm, patient Mum who can give him the time and space he needs without expecting him to do anything outside of his comfort zone. A peaceful home and surrounding environment is extremely important for Erol as he is not at all comfortable around busy or noisy surroundings with lots of traffic, main roads and lots of people. A quieter location is a must, with leafy walks away from busy parks and crowds to allow him to sniff, enjoy himself and relax. Erol is not comfortable with visitors coming into the home at all and this is triggering for him. His ideal Mum will understand this completely and be happy to arrange to meet friends and family away from the home, while Erol enjoys a couple of hours of peaceful alone time with a good antler chew and some Classic FM playing in the background. 🎶🐾 For this reason his new Mum will need to be around for most of the day to build up alone time as drop-in visits from others would not be suitable. Erol could potentially live with a similar sized or larger dog. He needs a chilled-out companion rather than a very energetic or hyper dog friend as he really appreciates a peaceful environment. Meets at the kennels would be preferable for dog introductions, although a home offering full separation and slow, sensible introductions could also be considered. Anyone interested in offering Erol a home would need to have one-to-one meets with him at the kennels following a successful Match Review anyway. Most importantly, Erol needs someone who will celebrate the lovely boy he is but life will need to be taken at Erol's pace, within his comfort zone whilst keeping his safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything.
