Description
My dadās dog, Boss, is looking for his forever home. Due to ongoing health conditions, my dad has recently moved into an over-55s accommodation where large breed dogs are unfortunately not permitted. This has been incredibly upsetting for him, as Boss has been such a loving companion. My partner and I would take him ourselves, but we already have three cats and no garden, so weāre unable to provide the space and environment a large dog needs. Boss would ideally be suited to a home as the only pet. He has always lived alone with my dad and can be uneasy around other animals. He is friendly with children, however as he has always been very much an āonly childā and used to having all of the attention on him, we are unsure how he would adjust to living in a busy family household with young children full-time. He has a lovely, relaxed temperament overall, but he would benefit from some additional training and clearer boundaries, as my dad wasnāt always able to properly train him. He is a very sociable and happy dog around people and has always received amazing feedback from neighbours and dog walkers about how friendly and lovely he is. Boss is a big softie who loves cuddles, long walks, and plenty of treats. It is unclear whether Boss is a full Staffordshire Bull Terrier or a mix, as we have never had him genetically tested. We believe he may have some Boxer in him, but we cannot say for certain. This is a truly heartbreaking decision for our family, but we want to find him a home where he can receive the time, attention, and care he deserves. Anyone who gives Boss a loving home would be very lucky to have him ā¤ļø
