American cocker spaniel.. Everyone meet Dougie, he’s a 2(3 in jan27) yr old American cocker spaniel. We’ve had Dougie for about 6months, and has become part of our family! He is an absolute great companion! Protects you like your gold! He listens extremely well, but does have 1 down fall, Dougie was abused as a pup and has learned to deal with strangers to his proper with a very aggressive bark and growl, and sometimes even a nip of whoever I at the door, he don’t like postmen or anyone delivering anything really, he is very pissed off when someone also wears a hat, oh and off you don’t have a letter box cage your mail or parcels will be his breakfast! He loves walks and listen very well to commands, sit/spin/paw/stay! But even with those good points like I’ve said he does have a very unpredictable reaction to unknown “strangers” in his property! hence why I muzzle him, I also use a muzzle in walks (which he loves going on adventures & if there a bush then he’s going in weather you like it or not) but I do always muzzle him (just for my piece of mind) He is very loving and would love a person on they’re own to get all the attention he wants & needs. I personally don’t think he would be good in a family as he does like to be “the baby” he’s toilet trained very well & will let you know when he needs to go! He loves going on car rides and is very well behaved, but does have a habit of also protecting the car with his territorial ways.. so if anyone spread by your window while stopped he will go into protective mode.. I’ve been as honest as I can in trying to describe Dougie as best as I can! He is a great boy and has a very loving personality! But he also can be a very territorial & protective dog & won’t think twice about trying to getting someone or something that threatens him or his owner or his home or his car, besides those points that will possible put some people off(which I understand Dougie is great, playful, loving & protectful! This is not about money I genuinely want a 5* owner for my Dougie & won’t just allow him to go with anyone! Also having a garden for him to run around in is crucial he loves to explore! I will also be asking for a small donation for Dougie as everything I’ve bought will be going with him! He had a lot..eg… Beds Food Harnesses Car seat belts Toys Treatments eg. Dog aftershave/detangler spray/ear cleaners/brushes there loads of baggage that Dougie has gathered of the time he’s been with us.
