Description
These have been laid this month, they lay constantly so I am taking them out every other day.
I am selling on behalf of my daughter, and they will be sold in groups of six.
Stick insect usually take between 3 and 4 months to hatch. Whilst you wait, if you keep them in a little tub/enclosure with a damp piece of cotton pad or tissue.
To care for the insects after hatching, keep them in a mesh enclosure as nymph, or plastic enclosure (if plastic style just make sure that it is secure as these guys can plan an escape like Houdini, and nymphs are pretty tiddly)
They like to eat bramble or ivy, that isbwhat we feed ours, also privet, so quite easily found around the countryside. Once fully mature they will lay eggs quite enthusiastically and you just need to collect them up and pop them in a little nursery tub if you want to build your colony or freeze them before disposal so they dont hatch.
