Description

Senda is currently in Derbyshire with her sister Mara and is looking for her forever home. Although she’s only been in the UK for a short time, she has settled into home life really well. Of the two sisters, Senda is the quieter and less active one, although she’s still a working Setter and enjoys getting out and about. She loves playing in the garden and is always the first to encourage Mara to have a game. She also enjoys chasing a tennis ball, even if she hasn’t quite worked out that she’s supposed to bring it back! Senda has a lovely, gentle nature. She was the more reserved of the two in the shelter, but she has really come out of her shell since arriving in foster. She has adapted well to life in a home and enjoys being around people, and she has also been a natural with toilet training. Senda doesn’t need to be rehomed with Mara, but because she was more reserved in Spain, we think she would benefit from living with another friendly resident dog who can help build her confidence and she is really sweet with children and could happily live with a young family. Like Mara, Senda is looking for a new home because the resident cats haven’t settled with having dogs in the house. While she is currently living with cats, she hasn’t had enough time to fully decompress or have calm, gradual introductions. However, when she has seen the cats around the house and garden, she has been quite calm and more relaxed. Because of this, we feel Senda could live with cats, provided her new family is happy to take introductions slowly and give everyone time to settle.
