💗🐾 MEET JURA – A CHEEKY GIRL WHO IS JUST DISCOVERING HOW WONDERFUL LIFE CAN BE! 🐾💗 📍 Ipswich, Suffolk 🐶 Around 20kg 🏡 Needs a confident resident dog 👧 Older children aged 10+ Jura is a beautiful girl who is finally beginning to discover what it means to feel safe, have fun and enjoy being a dog. ❤️ Since arriving in foster care in July, this lovely girl has been making little steps forward, and it's been wonderful watching her personality start to shine. She's still a shy girl in unfamiliar situations, but there's a cheeky, playful little character hiding underneath that initial nervousness! Jura is behaving very much like a young puppy at the moment. She's bouncy, curious, full of mischief and absolutely loves her toys. Although, in typical Jura fashion, she's just as likely to steal something that isn't a toy, toss it around and have herself a wonderful time! Garden gloves and pieces of wood are apparently just as entertaining! She's also developed a rather lovely habit of following her foster mum around and giving her leg a little nudge with her cold nose. And when she wants some attention, she has the most adorable head tilt. She's beginning to ask for strokes, lean into people for reassurance and show that cuddly girl we suspect is waiting to come out. So what sort of home does Jura need? Jura really needs another friendly, confident resident dog. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs, particularly those who enjoy a good game of chase. She's fast, lively and enthusiastic, and a canine companion would help her continue building her confidence and learning about the world. She would suit a home with older children aged 10+, ideally 10 and above, as her enthusiasm and lack of spatial awareness could mean she accidentally knock over younger children. Jura is still learning about the outside world. Lead walking is very much a work in progress, and unfamiliar surroundings can overwhelm her. She may pull, spin around or lie down when frightened, so she'll need patient adopters who understand that confidence-building takes time. She's toilet trained and can be left for around 2–4 hours, provided this is built up gradually. She is also learning household routines and responds well to consistency. She's also not yet comfortable with car journeys, and her confidence with these will need building. 🐈 Met cats in Romania and was good but hasn't met since in the UK Jura isn't a finished product, and she isn't going to walk straight into a new home and instantly know how to do everything. She's still learning, still finding her feet and discovering that the world doesn't have to be a frightening place. But look at what she's already achieved. There's a playful, affectionate, cheeky girl emerging, and we think the right home could help her blossom into something very special. Could you be the person who gives Jura the patience, security and love she needs to continue her journey? ⭐️ Full rescue backup ⬇️ Please pop questions into the comments, you'll find the application link there too ⬇️
