Description

Indie is an 18 month old Pointer type. She came to us in January from a shelter. She can be nervous initially with new people, but is a loving family pet She is: Fully house trained Can use a cat/dog flap Be left for a few hours Walk on lead Sit/Down/Stay on command Indie requires some specific things from her new home to be happy: NO cats/small furries/birds A fully enclosed to ground large, fenced garden to play in Someone willing to work on recall training and confidence with car travel No children under 12 A rural/semi-rural location Indie currently lives in a 2 cat household. Whilst she can be OK with one in some circumstances, her instinct is to chase, paw and mouth them. As one has a heart condition, Indie needs to be rehomed. It had been assumed she had low prey drive, but this is not the case. She is very special. Any serious adopter will require a home visit, a good knowledge of either pointers/working dogs or rescues. Indie is 90% calm and quiet, but 10% bounce. As such small children are not an option as she is over 4 foot tall on her back legs and can be mouthy in play too. Indie loves a cuddle, carry, belly rub, sneaky cuddle on the bed etc. She is incredibly happy and always has a smiley face and a waggy tail!! She would love to be an only pet to be the centre of attention, though is friendly with dogs she meets on walks. Her new owner needs to be at home most of the time as she loves a human companion. She is v loved. As the shelter is in Cyprus, rescue back up will be provided by us for life. We can also provide holiday cover yearly if required. Indie is based in Devon. An adoption fee applies.
