Meet Fern! 🐶 Fern is a 4 year old, mixed breed (English setter x beagle), male neutered dog. Unfortunately, due to changes in work and life commitments we are needing to find a lovely new home for Fern, with a family who can give him the time and attention he truly deserves. Fern absolutely loves a good cuddle - he thinks he’s a lap cat! He also loves pulling apart rope toys, playing fetch with a tennis ball, and a long stroll somewhere that smells delicious. Fern is a nervous boy when he is first in a new situation, and needs lots of treats and love to reassure him. Once you’ve won him over, he is your bestfriend. Fern doesn’t like other dogs invading his personal space, but does very well on walks when dogs are avoided and he’s distracted with food. Fern walks very well on the lead. He cannot be completely let off as he will ignorantly follow a smell or chase wildlife, but he does very well on a longline. Fern can be left by himself as long as he’s had a good walk beforehand, he will snooze away or keep himself entertained. He is crate trained, but also does fine being free roam in the house. The ideal home for Fern: - owners who can provide decent walks daily. - A home with no cats. - a home with no other dogs. - a secure garden. - owners who have the time and attention to continue training with him during walks or situations where he may be nervous. We are not asking for any money for him as that feels wrong (I can’t put the price to £0). Please get in contact if you feel you can provide a lovely home for our lovely boy. ☺️
