Description
Missy is a gentle, affectionate young cat with a soft heart and an even softer nature.
She first came into our care through a TNR programme, initially only intended for a routine spay before returning outdoors. But it quickly became clear that Missy wasn’t suited to street life. She was simply too gentle, too trusting, and far too loving for that world.
In foster care, she blossomed almost immediately into a calm, affectionate companion who adores human company. Missy finds joy in the quiet things: a soft bed, a warm lap nearby, and gentle affection from the people she trusts.
During routine pre-adoption checks, Missy tested FeLV positive. While this understandably changed her adoption plans, it does not define her spirit. She remains bright, loving, and deeply ready for a home where she can feel safe, understood, and cherished.
While FeLV can sound worrying, many FeLV+ cats live long, happy, and fulfilling lives in the right home. With a calm indoor environment and good care, Missy can absolutely enjoy a full life filled with comfort, love, and security. Importantly, she is not unwell in herself, just in need of the right home setup that understands her needs rather than a home that fears her diagnosis..
Missy will need a calm, strictly indoor-only home without any other cats, where she can be kept safe and live a comfortable, low-stress life. She will be ready for adoption early July.
She doesn’t ask for much - just kindness, stability, and someone willing to see the loving little companion she is.
Miss is:

Please note: Every Cat Matters is an indoor-only rescue. This means all our cats should be kept in a safe, enriching indoor environment, unless they have access to a secure cat-proof garden, catio, or netted balcony.
We believe cats can live full, happy lives without free roaming outdoors. Keeping them safe indoors protects them from road accidents, injuries, contagious illnesses, and territorial fights—while also helping to preserve local wildlife. With love, enrichment, and security, indoor cats truly thrive and live their longest lives.
