Description

Hi everyone, unfortunately we are looking to rehome our beautiful Bengal boy Cheech. He is 4 years and 1 month old, very beautiful and loves playing and cuddles. He is registered with our local vet, he’s microchipped and is in good health. We have had him since he was a tiny kitten and he was neutered as a kitten. He has always been a family pet not a stud cat and he came from other family pets not dedicated breeders. He is fully litter trained. He is listed as Bengal (and definitely is a Bengal) but not registered you can see photo of mother and a video of dad as well. In the last two years our circumstances have changed. We used to live in a much larger flat but due to the landlord we had to moveand our new flat is not big enough for a cat like Cheech. We also used to have a Siamese who unfortunately passed away just before ****************** last year after 15 years. Despite the age gap he and Cheech were close but with our new flat we can’t take on any more pets. Cheech clearly misses the companionship and the space. It is for these reasons we want to find him a home where he can enjoy his life. He is still a young cat full of energy and love but as anyone who knows Bengals can tell you, they need space to run, climb and enjoy themselves. We have to put his needs before ours. We think he would suit a family environment perhaps with slightly older children who would enjoy petting him, he would do well with other pets but be aware that Bengals are feisty so if you already have other more docile cats that might not work. Ideally I’m sure he would love another Bengal pal to chase. We think a couple would be ok but not necessarily a single person unless they work from home. He needs lots of attention so he needs to be around people or certainly another pet(s) for company. Also because of his breed and energy we don’t think someone elderly would be suitable. He loves lap time but he can also trip you up quite easily. His new owners would ideally be familiar with this breed. He is not your regular cat. Bengals are vocal, energetic and need lots and lots of games and activities to keep them stimulated. He is not going to sleep all day, he enjoys being active and needs to be active for his health. This is not a quick or easy decision for us. We are in no rush as he has a home here. We are happy to answer any questions.
