🐾 Meet Jessy
Jessy arrived in the UK at the beginning of February to her foster home and from the very first days showed what a wonderful girl she truly is. She is around 2 years old, medium in size (to the knee), affectionate, bright and full of life. She loves people deeply and naturally seeks closeness, yet she also has a gentle independence that makes her easy to live with.

💔 Rescue Story 💔
Jessy was abandoned as a puppy near a military base and cared for by a young soldier who planned to take her home. He was later killed in action. Jessy was taken into safety and has been waiting ever since for someone who will stay.

Jessy is incredibly affectionate and loves cuddles, sometimes forgetting her own size in her enthusiasm to be close. She bonds quickly and responds beautifully to human attention. She is more affection-motivated than food-motivated and learns quickly — she rarely needs to be shown something twice.
She can be slightly shy or unsure with unfamiliar people or new situations at first, but once she understands something is safe, she adapts quickly. She is intelligent and eager to please, and would benefit from continued training in areas like recall and settling cues. She would enjoy structured learning as much as physical exercise.
She loves walks and is building up her fitness. With the right guidance, she could make a wonderful jogging companion.
Jessy is good with other dogs and enjoys play, though she can sometimes be an attention hog. She cannot live with cats as she enjoys chasing. Around children, she would suit those old enough to confidently interact with a medium-sized affectionate dog, though she has not been formally tested with them.
She is currently a little uncertain when left alone, likely due to still unwinding and adjusting. With time and routine, especially if living with another dog, she is expected to settle well. Importantly, while she loves human company, she is also capable of relaxing independently in another room.

Jessy would thrive in an active home where she is included in daily life — walks, play, affection and gentle guidance. She would suit someone who appreciates a loving, intelligent dog who wants to connect deeply but also has her own quiet moments.
