Description
Emerald catfish
Emerald catfish or green brochis (Corydoras splendens) got its name due to the color of the body, shimmering from metallic blue to emerald green depending on the lighting.
It is easy to keep brochis catfish in an aquarium. It is advisable to use sand as a substrate. It is necessary to have a large number of shelters in the form of stones, snags or grottoes, where the fish could hide and rest.

Sexual maturity in green brochis occurs at the age of one year. Achieving spawning in aquarium conditions is quite a difficult task. My brochis spawn regularly.
