Lucky – 2-Year-Old Livestock Guardian Dog – Working/Rural Home Wanted We are very sadly looking for the right new home for Lucky due to an upcoming move where unfortunately we will be unable to take her with us. Lucky is 2 years old and has been living on our smallholding, helping to guard our livestock. She is still young and learning her role, so she will need an experienced owner who understands large livestock guardian breeds and can continue her training. She is an incredibly loyal, loving and affectionate dog with her family and is good with children. She forms a very strong bond with her people and takes protecting her home and animals seriously. Lucky is NOT a house dog. She is used to a rural, outdoor lifestyle and we would ideally like her to go to a working farm, smallholding or similar rural property where she has space and a job to do. Lucky is very territorial and protective of her property. She will not accept an unfamiliar dog coming onto her premises. Because of this, she needs an experienced and responsible owner who understands guardian breeds and can manage this appropriately. She also needs to be securely contained when she isn't being supervised and should not be allowed to roam. Lucky is still learning around livestock and requires continued supervision and training. She has been guarding our animals but, at only two years old, she is still developing and shouldn't be expected to be a fully trained livestock guardian from day one. We will be very selective about her new home. Finding the right long-term home for Lucky is much more important to us than rehoming her quickly. Her ideal home would be a working farm or smallholding with secure fencing, livestock and an owner experienced with large working or guardian breeds. Lucky is a beautiful, devoted dog with a huge amount of love and loyalty to give. In the right environment, with someone who understands her breed and continues her training, we believe she will make a wonderful working companion and guardian.
