Under unfortunate circumstances, Bailey was left with me, however I am a single Mum of 4 children and although I have tried to give him the best life, he deserves better. It’s taken time for me to understand this and I know he really will be happier. He is a kind and sweet soul, and he’s very protective of the ones he loves. He will run to my youngest when he cries and he genuinely loves us. He isn’t used to strangers and will bark at them because he is scared. He needs help on a lead, though he is a lot better than he was. I did suspect that he had a difficult early life, but I could be wrong. He is a generally healthy dog but can get issues with his ears, so may need ear drops from time to time. He also has skin issues but honestly it only seems to flair up in the summer. He’s a very happy boy and loves the company of his people. In fact if he could be inside with you and following you around all day, he’d be happy. He does love chasing lights, but he can be easily distracted from it and actually enjoys a bubble machine! I would strongly recommend that a single person or couple with no children only consider him. He is amazing with my children but his size is inconvenient. I just envision him with someone who will love him as much as he will love you. He loves running and exploring but I have only done that in areas where I know he is safe. He has been known to jump the fence and run away, however he always comes back. He will be very protective of your home but he’s never bitten, he just barks. On the flip side to that, for a German shepherd he doesn’t bark a lot. He loves films and watching tv with his family. I can’t recommend this dog enough. He’s still young enough to adapt to a new home and environment, and he will give you so many memories and love. He currently sleeps in a cage and he seems to prefer that. He also prefers to be in the garage at night. However I’m sure he’d adapt in the correct circumstances. I know he would bring happiness and light to the right person.
