Description

🐾 Meet Brian – A Big Softie Looking for His Forever Home 🐾 📍 Based in Devon 🧸 Male | 5 years & 3 months old | Neutered & Vaccinated Brian is a gorgeous, cuddly boy who’s been part of a loving home for the past 4.5 years. Sadly, due to a baby on the way and his discomfort around children and unpredictability, his owners have made the difficult decision to find him a new home. This is truly heartbreaking for them, as Brian is a wonderful companion with so much love to give. 💛 Personality: At home, Brian is calm, dopy (in the cutest way!), affectionate, and just wants to be close to his humans. He’s housetrained, happy being left for a while, and not possessive over food or toys. He’s protective of his home and family, so he’ll let you know when the postman arrives! 🚗 Life Skills: He’s crate trained, travels really well (often goes from Devon to Ipswich), and settles nicely in new homes if introduced calmly. Brian is great with people when introduced the right way – treats and cheese help a lot! He is good at the vets, groomers and ‘Pets at Home’. 🐶 Other Pets: Brian currently lives with both a cat and a dog. He’s gentle with the pets he knows, but can be nervous with new dogs and needs careful, calm introductions. He’s walked in a secure field due to his reactivity, but could build confidence with the right training. 🏡 What He Needs: Brian would thrive in a calm, child-free home with a secure garden. He’s not big on long walks – he’d rather chill and snuggle with his humans. While he has some nervous triggers (like broomsticks or people wearing hats), his main response is barking, snarling but he has never attacked or been violent. 🐕‍🦺 He is currently taken to a private field due to his nervousness with other dogs. On walks, he prefers dogs on leads and is always kept on one himself. He has selective recall and can be very stubborn. With patience and understanding, Brian will make an incredible, loyal companion. This boy has so much love to give – he just needs the right environment and owner to feel safe and settled. If you think you can offer Brian the home he deserves, please get in touch for more info or to arrange a meet 🐾💛
