Description

The name he currently goes by is sprout. I bought sprout in October 2025. He is very high energy and requires a lot of attention, lots of lovely long walks and most importantly a quiet household. My busy house is not a good environment for him, he is always on high alert and doesn’t rest anywhere near enough. I have a 6 year old with ASD who is vocally loud which unsettles sprout. with 5 people total in my household it is very busy and sprout is quite boisterous so I would recommend if any then maybe only older children, he’s partial to stealing toys and socks and is a bit too jumpy and hyper with younger children. He loves other dogs and currently goes on group sessions with a dog walker and this really is the highlight of his week, he’s made some firm friends and loves his time with them and I’m sure he would love to live with another fun dog. He would need an active house, sprout prefers walks (and runs) away from roads and crowds with mountains being ideal. He does have recall but this does need a lot of strengthening, if he is in a built up area, around traffic or lots of people he finds it difficult to focus and calm himself down so this will need to be worked on. Another area that needs some work is his lead walking as with the above said he can get silly and does pull the lead. He is crate trained at night and happily sleeps in his crate in my bedroom although is also happy to sleep in a bed when one of my kids sneaks him out. Sprout responds to basic commands of sit, lay down, No, and wait. He is toilet trained with no accidents at all now. He has only just turned one and is still very much a pup who wants to sit as close to you as he can and wants someone’s full attention, he really would make the best friend to someone that is able to look past his silliness although he does make us laugh a lot. Sprout would come with all of his belongings blankets, food, toys, leads etc and 2 crates. ( a small one for bedtime and a furniture looking one that we use during the day) I would negotiate the price but only for the best most suitable home and match. This is a really sad sale but I have to do what is right for him and for our family, we just aren’t the match that we thought we would be unfortunately for us all.
