Description
With a heavy heart we are having to look for a new home for our boy Stanley.
Stanley is crate trained, toilet trained and can be left for 5-6 hours or so in a crate on his own.
He will walk to heel, sit and down at roads when told to do so. Whilst we have made progress in training, Stan is dog reactive and will also react to cats and birds. He will lunge, jump, pull and occasionally then try to take his frustration out on who is walking him.
Stanley turned 1 in July and is currently weighing just over 51kg and his dad sits at around 65-70kg. So he still has plenty of growing left to do.
From day 1 Stanley has always been a very nervous, anxious and timid dog. This has just progressed further as he has gotten older. A few months ago Stanley did bite someone and has more recently attempted to go for myself. We have a 3 year old child in the house and whilst Stanley is completely in love with him and doesn't leave his side, we simply cannot take the risk with him anymore - hence why we are looking for a new home for him. We also don’t have the time to put into the attention and training Stanley needs and deserves.
It completely breaks my boyfriend’s heart having to do this, especially after losing his last dog suddenly.
Stan will not just be going to anyone or any home. He needs to go to someone that will give him the time, patience and life that he truly deserves.
