Description
Here is my handsome little hurricane Reggie! white with one tan ear.
From my litter of Jack Russell pups in August (I have mum and dad-both pure JRTs) this boy in great health and is a very robust and lively pup-I intended to keep Reggie from day 1 but I have to admit that looking after 2 entire male Jack Russell’s has been hard and I just can’t give them each the attention they deserve. I have made the very very hard decision to give Reggie to a family where he can be the centre of their world and I can give his dad JackJack the attention and the long walks he uses to get before the pups came along!
Please be familiar with the breed as JRTs are the most loving loyal dogs but they are very energetic very playful and little Reggie is a right character! ( I am constantly going to the bottom of the garden to collect items he has stashed or collecting him from the bath-he loves a bath so much he just randomly jumps in there and hopes he will get one)
He has a little orange ball and it’s the first thing he brings me in the morning to throw for him
He has had no health issues and eats very well he is well built with true to type Jack Russell short legs His recall is great especially if you have his orange ball as a motivator.
Highly responsive to training and very focused for example he knows all his basic commands but I haven’t had huge amounts of time to progress this and he hasn’t been to puppy class yet so he would benefit from this and from someone who can give him that 121 time.
Good at- HUGS! when you are home he is the ultimate Velcro dog but he is also good at being home alone too and settles quickly with a chew-the longest he's been left is 5 hours.
Fully house trained no accidents indoors.
Good with kids and my grandchildren adore him. He has been with dog sitters and has gets on well with other dogs when I’m the same room or garden and off lead. He gets on with my other JRT and with his mum who he sees regularly too.
On walks he barks and is very reactive if other dogs approach him on walks but I sense this is when he is on a split lead with my other dog as dog walkers say he does not do this with them! He is learning to be better on the lead and his orange ball is the best distraction while hea learning not to be so reactive outside-he is never aggressive. He just needs to be more socialised.
Fully vaccinated, wormed, flead, microchipped - he has not been neutered
