Description
Meet Fox. She is a tiny, beautiful red toy poodle standing just 9 inches tall, with a luscious curly coat and more personality than most dogs three times her size. She’s 5 years old. She is affectionate, playful, and when she loves you, she really loves you. Think Velcro dog. She will want to be beside you, on you, or as close to you as physically possible at all times, and honestly, that is one of her best qualities.
Fox has had a wonderful life with us as part of our small breeding programme. She has been an incredible mum, and now that her breeding days are behind her, she has been neutered and is ready to begin her next chapter. This is purely a lifestyle rehome. Fox deserves to be someone's everything, and with a growing household, we simply cannot give her the sole focus she needs and craves. Rehoming her is not a decision we have taken lightly, but it is the right one for her.
Fox has been with us since she was 8 weeks old and has been loved every single day. She is fully house trained, crate trained, and can walk on a lead. She is KC Registered and fully health tested across a comprehensive panel, with clear results on all of the following:
• Degenerative Myelopathy
• Gangliosidosis GM2
• Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures
• Osteochondrodysplasia
• Progressive Retinal Atrophy (Rod-cone dysplasia 4)
• Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA-PRCD)
• Von Willebrand Disease I
Full documentation is available for the right home.
Now for the honest part, because Fox deserves the right home, not just any home.
Fox is an anxious girl. Not through any fault of her past, she has never been mistreated in her life, but she is simply wired that way. She can be timid, she occasionally has moments where she becomes overwhelmed for no obvious reason, and she takes time to fully trust new people. She is currently in a busy household with other dogs and a young child, and we genuinely believe she would flourish somewhere quieter, where she can be someone's whole focus rather than one of many. Once that bond is there though, she is absolutely wonderful.
She does get a little anxious around unfamiliar people and dogs on walks, so lead walks in busy areas may need some patience and building up gradually.
Fox's ideal home:
A quiet household, ideally without other dogs or young children. A single person or couple who have some experience with dogs, and who understand that a nervous dog is not a broken dog. Someone with patience and consistency, who will let her come to them in her own time, and who will be rewarded with one of the most loyal, loving little companions you could ask for.
If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. We will be asking questions, and we make no apology for that. Fox's happiness is everything to us.
