💔 Background / Surrender Story
Jack’s owner is facing a heartbreaking move and is not allowed to take both dogs to the new property. This means one of them must be rehomed. It has been an incredibly difficult decision, but Jack has been chosen as he is more likely to cope with the transition than the other dog. He is now looking for a new home where he can settle and continue his life with a loving family. 🐾💙🏠
🐕 More About Jack
Jack has lived in a home environment since he was 12 weeks old and is used to a quieter lifestyle. He is not fully house-trained. Jack enjoys affection, but very much on his own terms — he will come for fuss when he wants it, then happily go off and enjoy his own space.
It happened that he lived with a single women. And he really likes women, but he can be a little wary of men, sometimes scared of some of them, but warms up when learns kindness.
He has a lovely, calm nature overall and is often described as being “like a little old man” — he can be bouncy and excited in the mornings, then prefers to relax, nap, and have a peaceful evening.
Jack loves being outside and would happily spend lots of time in the garden. He also enjoys playing with the hosepipe. He can be left alone for short periods and settles well during that time.
Jack does have some sensitivities— he is not comfortable with his feet being handled or people getting too close to his face, so he needs an owner who will respect these boundaries.
On walks, Jack enjoys people and likes attention. He can bark at male dogs and wants to play with them, while he is friendly with female dogs and loves them.
At home, he lives with another male dog. He is generally fine but prefers his own space and does not share sleeping areas, often allowing the other dog to take the lead.
He does not show much interest in toys.
🏡 Ideal Home
Jack would suit a calm, understanding home that respects his independent nature and gives him space when needed. He could live as the only dog, but possibly also with calm female dog, who will give him the space when he needs it. A home without young.
An owner who will accept him as he is, while gently supporting him, will help him feel safe and settled.
🩺 Health Information
No known medical issues have been reported. Neutering, vaccinations, and microchip details will be confirmed as part of the rehoming process.
💙 Jack hasn’t done anything wrong—he’s simply lost his home due to circumstances beyond his control. With the right family, he will be a loyal, fun, and loving companion. 🐶
