Description
I’m heartbroken to have to rehome my beautiful dog Angus. It’s through no fault of his own I’ve had a change in circumstances and cannot fill all of his needs right now and it would be unfair to keep him right now as he’s not getting what he needs.
He’s a standard poodle X Bernese mountain dog, both parents in good health and pedigree - I can put you in touch with his breeder for more details.
He’s a big boy he’s 30-35kg and does jump up and get excited so it will need to be a home where they’re confident with large breeds.
He’s fine with other dogs and happy to play but can be very boisterous and has been told off by smaller dogs plenty of times because he won’t leave them alone! He wouldn’t fit a home with small pets or cats as he does chase. No aggression and lives with two small children at the moment (4 and 2), he will happily let you stroke and hug him and he loves affection.
He can be nervous at the vets and with new people inside the home but I can explain further if you’re interested and want to meet him. He’s had a couple of occasions where he’s growled when he’s got something and doesn’t want to give it back - for example if he’s taken food he’s not allowed or taken an item and ran off with it. This means he may require additional training and someone who is confident to handle him.
He requires 6-8 weekly grooms and brushing due to his coat so you would need to factor this into the decision to rehome as grooming can be pricey.
He’s happy on any food he’s been on both raw and kibble and never had any issues - he’s currently on kibble. Any and all treats he loves and will do tricks for them.
