Meet Doodle, our lovely Patterdale Terrier girl. Doodle has been with us since birth as we bred her ourselves, and she is now 5 years old.
Doodle has an absolutely fantastic temperament. She loves going out for walks, has excellent recall, and is fully house trained. She is a very affectionate little dog who adores attention, loves being stroked, and will happily curl up on your knee whenever she gets the chance (sometimes a little too much!).
You may wonder why we would be looking to rehome such a lovely dog. Unfortunately, we feel Doodle is no longer getting the attention and exercise she truly deserves. We also have four whippets, and sadly we can’t walk or run Doodle with them as they constantly try to chase and wind her up when they’re off the lead. At home she has started to become a little withdrawn as she doesn’t enjoy the whippets pestering her, so we feel it’s only fair to find her a home where she can be the centre of someone’s world.
Doodle would ideally suit a single person or young couple who have the time to walk her regularly and give her the attention she thrives on. She has never lived with young children, so we would not be looking to place her in a home with children.
She is good with small dogs but isn’t too keen on larger dogs and can sometimes bark at them when on the lead.
Doodle’s tail has been legally docked and we have the certificate. She is also not neutered.
This has been an extremely difficult decision for us and one we have thought about for many months, so please only enquire if you genuinely feel you can offer Doodle the very best home. Our priority is finding the right match for her, so please don’t be offended if we feel she may not be the right fit.
