🐾❤️ CODY - From sheltering beneath a trailer to finding somewhere to belong ❤️🐾 🌳 We don’t know where Cody originally came from, but he found shelter beneath a trailer or another piece of agricultural machinery near the farmhouse and orchard where our fellow rescuer - Lumy lives with her rescue dogs. 🥣 Lumy fed him every day, patiently looking out for this little boy until she managed to catch him and bring him home a couple of months ago. 🐾 Cody wasn’t quite ready to give up his bohemian lifestyle! He escaped and spent a few more days roaming before Lumy managed to catch him again. 🏡 This time, he settled. He is now comfortable with Lumy and her dogs and is no longer showing an interest in escaping. Now we want to find him a loving family of his own. ❤️ 🐶 ABOUT CODY 🤍 Cody is a handsome little boy with a shaggy cream coat, floppy ears and beautiful, expressive eyes. 🧬 His records describe him as a Bichon mix, although his exact breed ancestry is unknown. 💉 Fully vaccinated. ✂️ Neutered. 🩸 Blood tested. 📍 Microchipped. 💕 HIS PERSONALITY 🌼 Cody can be a little reserved when meeting unfamiliar people, but he warms up quickly once he has had a chance to get to know them. 🤗 A gentle introduction and a little patience help him feel comfortable. His initial reserve soon gives way to an easier friendship. 🐕 He gets along well with other dogs and is currently settled among Lumy’s rescue dogs. 🏡 HIS IDEAL HOME ❤️ Cody needs kind, patient people who will give him time to become familiar with his new home and family. 🌳 A secure, private garden is essential. Although he has stopped trying to escape at Lumy’s, his new family must be particularly careful with doors, gates and fencing while he settles into unfamiliar surroundings. 🐶 He could be considered for a home with another friendly dog, subject to a suitable match and introductions. 🐱 His compatibility with cats has not been confirmed, but we are pretty sure he can live with cats. 🚽 His house-training, lead walking and ability to spend time alone have not yet been confirmed. His adopters should be prepared to help him learn a home routine with patience and gentle, reward-based training. 🪮 His lovely coat will need regular brushing and professional grooming to keep him comfortable. ✅ WHAT WE NEED FOR CODY 🏡 A loving indoor home where he is part of the family. 🌳 A securely enclosed, private garden. 🔒 Careful management of doors and gates, especially during the settling-in period. 🤗 Patient introductions to new people and experiences. 🐾 Daily walks suited to his confidence and fitness. 🪮 Commitment to regular grooming and lifelong veterinary care. 👧 No children under 10; suitability with older children will be assessed individually. ❤️ A family committed to him for life. 🤝 OUR PROMISE & YOUR COMMITMENT 🛟 Friends InDeed provides lifetime rescue back-up and ongoing post-adoption support. 📞 If your circumstances change and you can no longer keep Cody, you must contact us.
