Description

Spikey is a 2 year old male bearded dragon who loves to wander around the house, exploring (and licking!) new things. If you want a lizard that just sits in his cage, this is NOT the lizard for you. If you leave his glass door open, he will jump out and wander around himself. He is very friendly, likes to just sit and chill on you, or on your desk next to you, back of the couch, wherever! He's used to cats and the cat does sometimes wander into his tank (we often keep 1 glass panel open), he is not bothered in the slightest. He's used to dogs, is not phased when the dog comes to sniff around him. To be honest, he isn't really phased by anything except if you pick him up and leave his legs danging around. He doesn't like that. He's OK taking baths (in the sink, upto his elbows) he'll let you know when he wants to get out. He eats his bugs well (a bit too well! probably would eat until he explodes if you let him). He'll chase crickets around his tank. He'll eat his greens, although like all of them, maybe not as often as you'd like. We put his worms on the greens, his clumbsiness means he often gets a mouthful of greens with his worms! We put his nutrition powder on his worms rather than on his greens to ensure he's getting it. He's currently in a bit of a shedding cycle which he does around twice a year. He comes with everything he needs, and with the under unit storage. Cage dimensions are: 4ft x 2ft x 2ft Storage underneath is 26" tall (2 and a bit ft) Cage is fitted with temperature variable heat lamp and uvb strip lamp (2 months old) Reason for sale, this was something our 13 year old begged for. Sadly, he just doesn't make the time to get him out or interact with him. He needs and deserves more attention. He lives in my sons bedroom and he wants the space back :( Any questions, please ask! Warning: Lizards need special care and diets. DO NOT get a lizard if you are not prepared to educate yourself and watch youtube videos to learn how to properly look after them!
