*NOT a breaded, looking for a loving home for 4 year old Male German Shepard* Through absolutely no fault of his own, we are looking for a loving and experienced new home for our beautiful German Shepherd, Bear. Bear is a loyal, affectionate and intelligent boy who has been brought up around our daughter and is wonderful with people he knows. He absolutely loves attention, fuss and being close to his humans. One of his favourite things is carrying around his teddy bear, and he also loves playing ball and interactive games. He is crate trained and sees his crate as his safe space. He knows basic commands and responds well to routine and consistency. He currently gets walked at least 3 times a day and would thrive with an owner who can continue his training and give him the time, structure and attention he deserves. Like many German Shepherds, Bear can be vocal and alert around the home. He can also be reactive to other dogs when on the lead, although he can interact well with dogs when approached calmly and correctly. Because of this, he would be best suited as the only pet in the home. Bear walks on a Halti and can become anxious in the car, so he will need a patient owner willing to continue building his confidence. He previously had good recall, however due to not being able to let him off lead over the last few years, this has understandably regressed and would need rebuilding with time and training. He is a loving dog with huge potential in the right environment and will make an incredibly rewarding companion for someone experienced with the breed. We are absolutely heartbroken to make this decision, so finding the right home is the most important thing to us. We would ideally like someone with experience of German Shepherds or larger working breeds who understands the importance of ongoing training, exercise and leadership. Additional information: • Not KC registered • Entire male (not castrated) • Crate trained • Has stayed in boarding kennels on several occasions • Walks on a Halti • Best suited as the only pet in the home A rehoming fee will apply, however finding the right loving and experienced home for Bear is far more important to us than the price. Bear will only go to a home where we feel he will be happy, secure and properly cared for.
