This is Ray (Countryways Style), our new black and white English Springer Spaniel. Ray is named after a great friend of David’s who taught him to shoot when he was young.
Ray is a sensible, young dog with plenty of drive, long in the body, plenty of style, excellent in cover, and a strong retriever. He is a very biddable and level-headed dog, David has great plans for him in the future, he has already produced some lovely puppies.
Ray’s sire is Tweed (FTW Countryways Railey of Windbush), now 12 years old, who has sat shooting with David on every driven day in the past 10 years and is an amazing dog. Tweed’s sire was Milo (FTCH Clearmeadow Flash of Countryways), the dog that David took ‘Top Dog’ in the 2011/2012 Championships. Tweed’s dam, FTAW Lisgarvagh Rica of Countryways, who is sired by FTW Raven Inquest, David’s original black and white dog that produced multiple champions and championship winners in several countries. Raven was mated to FTCH Clouduff Delilah, the bitch that won the Irish championships twice.
Ray’s dam is Aimee (Countryways Aimee), a black and white bitch who was trained by David and was given to a good friend to work in Newbury, she spends most her time beating, picking up and living on the sofa. Aimee is sired by FTCH Bucceuch Pepper, a dog that has produced multiple champions and championship winners. He was mated to Gwen (FTCH Bryfedi Adel of Countryways) this bitch was made up to champion in one season and competed at top level for many seasons and their offspring has proven to be really easy to train. David trained and competed with Aimee’s brother Magic (FTAW Countryways Argon), who went on to produce some magnificent young puppies.
Ray is fully health tested and is an all-round lovely dog. He has already sired a number quality litters.
