Meet our wonderful Marley.
Marley is one of those cats who has quietly existed in the background for far too long. And not because he wasn’t worthy, but because he never demanded attention.
Now 10 years old, Marley spent the first four years of his life as a street/garden cat before needing a rescue transition indoors due to seasonal allergies. Since then, he’s been the gentle, unobtrusive presence in our care, never causing trouble, never competing for attention, and always letting the more urgent cases come first.
But this year, we decided… it's time to really push. It’s Marley’s turn now. 2026 is HIS year!
Marley is a sweet, sensitive boy who takes his time to trust, but when he does, you see the softness in him. He’s the kind of cat who won’t rush to greet you, but will quietly choose you once he feels safe.
Marley gets along well with other calm, respectful cats who don’t dominate him, and he’s even helped raise kittens in the past, showing just how gentle and nurturing he truly is.
As he begins to feel safe, Marley enjoys the simple things, playing, watching TV, and quietly taking in the world around him. And while he may be shy, there is one thing that brings out his confidence instantly - food!
Mealtime isn’t just his favourite part of the day, it’s his favourite part of life. He absolutely adores his lick-e-lix treats too.
In a quieter, more predictable foster home, Marley is already beginning to come out of his shell. He’s getting braver day by day, showing us glimpses of the loving companion he’s always been.
He’s looking for someone patient and understanding, someone who will give him the time, space, and kindness he needs to truly blossom. Because Marley isn’t a cat who will demand your love. He’s the kind who will make you feel chosen when he gives you his heart. He would do well in adult/mature only household where the calmness and pace would help him thrive.

Please note: Every Cat Matters is an indoor-only rescue. This means all our cats should be kept in a safe, enriching indoor environment, unless they have access to a secure cat-proof garden, catio, or netted balcony.
