Description
KC joined us in early 2026 as an ownership surrender when his owners health declined and they could no longer give him the care he needed. KC joined us as a proper portly pooch at 16 kgs so he’s had to spend much of the year losing weight to safely have surgery before he could go up for adoption.
KC can live with older children and is hoping to find a home as a solo pooch without cats.
Character –
KC is a wonderful boy who is happily living in a foster home with children. He loves scratches behind his ears and under his chin and has a new lease of life since losing a significant amount of weight, finally finding it easier to move and play.
Type of home –
KC is looking for a calm and caring home committed to helping him continue his weight loss. He loves going in the car, and enjoys his walks, especially when he can find lots of new sniffing spots.
He would prefer to be an only dog and isn’t keen on cats but he is happily living with older children and could do so in his adoptive home too!
Health –
KC joined us significantly over weight and in need of a dental. He has spent most of the year losing the pounds and is now down from 16.2 kgs to 11.6 kgs! He still needs to lose a couple of kgs to be healthy but he has lost enough weight to safely receive veterinary care
Adopting –
KC is in foster care in Nailsea and potential adopters will need to meet him here.
Our catchment area for rehoming is Somerset and the local surrounding areas (such as Bristol, Bath, Weston Super Mare and Wiltshire).
